Located along the western edge of Buffalo County and overlooking the Mississippi River, this property features the deer holding habitat which the driftless region is famous for.  Expansive south facing cedar slopes, a meandering oak ridge top along with all sorts of bumps, humps and ledges for deer to hang out on.  This parcel is interconnected with thousands of acres of heavily timbered bluffs.  Because of the adjacent mile long slough, a huge funnel is created through this property where the deer have to travel down the southeast end of the ridge to get around the slough and out to  the large ag fields in the bottom each night.  This pattern is clearly evident by the heavily pounded trails on the far southeast end.  There is a powerline cut that extends from west to east providing both good access to the property and this cleared area that would work well to create a couple different food plots.  There are about 8 acres of nearly flat ridge top and the surrounding topography creates a large saddle encouraging heavy deer traffic right through this spot.  You will find incredible panoramic views of the Mississippi basin from just about anywhere on this parcel.  Recently surveyed for accurate boundary lines.  A driveway permit from the highway department would be needed for any sort of development permit.  1 mile to Buffalo City, 2.5 miles to Cochrane and 5 miles to Alma.
