Our Agents: Jay Frazier
Jay is a Southwest Wisconsin native and grew up hunting and fishing this beautiful part of the state. Instilled in him was an appreciation of the outdoor lifestyle and the golden rule, both of which have served him well throughout his real estate career. While Jay understands that buyers and sellers of real estate are primarily looking for an experienced real estate professional to guide them through a transaction, he is equally qualified to give hunting and fishing advice when needed.
After completing his education, Jay spent 17 years in the log and lumber industry where he gained valuable insight in business management, client skills, timber evaluation, and maximizing timber land investment. In 2004, he left this business to share his outdoor experience with clients in the rewarding real estate field. After 2 years of learning the ropes in general real estate, he started his own team and shifted his focus to work exclusively with rural property buyers and sellers. This was a natural fit with his love and knowledge of the outdoors and the Driftless area of Southwest Wisconsin. At the time, specializing in rural properties was a new concept, but later others have traveled into the area and followed suit.
As a REALTOR Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Jay has accomplished what less than 1% of Wisconsin agents have achieved. Jay addresses the unique challenges that occur in rural real estate. He has helped many hundreds of buyers and sellers with their hunting land, farm, or country home transaction. This experience plus ongoing education keeps him well versed in zoning regulations, easement & survey issues, managed forest law, building site development, and rural property marketing. He’s a veteran in assisting with title issues, navigation, GPS mapping, government programs and negotiation. In other words, there isn’t much relating to rural properties that Jay hasn’t seen. This experience will often allow him to see potential problems and offer solutions to them before the client even knows that they exist! Jay’s attention to detail has earned him dozens of return clients who view Jay as their ‘go to’ rural property agent.
In his spare time, Jay enjoys big game hunting (primarily with bow and muzzleloader), ice fishing and adventure travel.
